Ian Fleming Centenary

 


 

2008 is the one hundredth year since Ian Fleming's birth, and Ian Fleming Publications Ltd celebrated the anniversary with several exciting publishing events. The eagerly anticipated Devil May Care by Sebastian Faulks was released on Ian Fleming's birthday - 28th May, along with a beautiful new harback edition of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, with the original illustrations by John Burningham. Final Fling, the final installment in the Moneypenny Diaries, was published by John Murray in April 2008, and Young Bond's adventures are continued with the paperback edition of Hurricane Gold being released to coincide with the annivesary. The final chapter in the current Young Bond series, titled 'By Royal Command', will be released on the 4th September 2008 by Puffin, closely followed by the release of the first Young Bond graphic novel, Silverfin, in October.
