John Pearson
JOHN PEARSON began his career as a journalist at the Sunday Times, where he worked as assistant to Ian Fleming on the prestigious Atticus column. Following Fleming's death, Pearson wrote the first biography of his friend. Originally published in 1996, the biography has recently been republished with an updated introduction by Aurum Press. In 1976 Pearson became the second official author of James Bond continuation fiction, with JAMES BOND: THE AUTHORIZED BIOGRAPHY, a fictionalised account in which Pearson interviews Bond as he looks back on his life. This book has been recently reissued in the UK by Random House.
Pearson then when on to write a number of highly regarded less fictional biographies, including several works on the Kray family.
